Hostels under our own management
Sacred Heart of Jesus Hostel (Girls)
Room accommodation. Total 65 seats. 3 beds in a room. All the seats reserved to Repeater students joining Chaithanya Classes. Up and down transportation arranged.
Main Hostel (Boys)
Room accommodation. Total 60 seats. 3 or 4 beds in a room. 30 seats for 1st year regular students and 30 seats for 2nd year regular students.
Immaculate Heart of St. Mary's Hostel (Girls)
a) Room accommodation:- Total 90 seats. 4 beds in a room. 60 seats for 2nd year regular students and 30 seats for 1st year regular students.
b) Dormitory accommodation:- Total 30 seats. All for 1st year regular students.
St. James Hostel (Boys)
a) Room accommodation:- Total 100 seats. 4 beds in a room. 50 seats for 2nd year regular students. 50 seats for 1st year regular students.
b) Dormitory accommodation:- 30 seats. All for 1st year regular students.
St. Theresa's Hostel (Boys)
Room accommodation:- Total 55 seats. 5 beds in a room. All the 55 seats reserved for repeater students joining Chaithanya Classes. Up and down transportation is arranged
Civil Service Complex at Elamthuruthy
a) St. Thomas Dormitory for Boys at Elamthuruthy in an 8 acre campus, 6km from Thrissur. Total 150 seats. 100 seats for Repeater students joining Prof. P. C. Thomas Classes and 50 seats for Gulf students (during March, April, May, June & July only)
b) St. Thomas Dormitory for Girls in the same campus. Total 160 seats. 100 seats for Repeater students joining. Prof. P. C. Thomas Classes and 50 seats for Gulf students (during March, April, May, June & July only)
The entrance coaching classes are conducted in the same campus.
c) St. Thomas Dormitory for Civil Service students
Block I :- 50 Boys doing Civil Service Coaching.
Block II :- 50 Girls doing Civil Service Coaching.
The minimum mark for issuing hostel application form is 550/600. The selection is on the basis of marks only. Recommendations will not be considered, because I find from experience that students admitted through recommendations spoil the studious atmosphere existing in the hostel. The hostel fee is Rs. 3250. This includes food, accommodation and laundry services.
Note:-
******1) The hostel food is purely vegetarian food.
******2) For the convenience of transportation of students and noon-meal we have decided this year to take students from certain schools only. If you want admission in our hostel you have to join one of the schools in the list. The list is available on request.
Private Hostels
There are a number of other hostels in the neighbourhood of the Tuition Centre owned by private parties. An incomplete list is available in the office.The fact that the name of the hostels is in the list supplied by me, does not in any way guarantee my approval. It is only a direction. Joining any hostel is completely at your risk.
